Like most of the Medina's historic quarters, it requires a driver who knows the local streets — the neighbourhood's internal passages are narrow, and many riads and guesthouses here are discreetly unmarked.

Travel time and distance from RAK Airport
The airport is approximately 7 km from the Mellah. The journey takes 22 to 30 minutes. The main access is via the southern ring road, entering the Medina near Bab Agnaou and passing the Place des Ferblantiers.
From your accommodation in the Mellah, Bahia Palace is a 5-minute walk, the Saadian Tombs are 10 minutes away, and Jemaa el-Fna is reachable in about 15 minutes on foot.
