Open data: Marrakech airport transfers, measured in the field

Get Me! publishes its field-observation dataset in open access: 29 airport ↔ city rides documented by licensed drivers between 5 June and 4 July 2026. Asking prices, tout presence, wait times, traffic conditions. No personal data — drivers anonymised.

  • Median street-taxi asking price: ~300 MAD (~€28) for an officially 150-200 MAD ride
  • Observed range: 100 to 600 MAD for the same ride
  • Touts present at the exit: 100% of observations
  • Overcharging on arrival observed in 93% of cases (May–June field report)
  • Conversion: 10.7 MAD/EUR (Bank Al-Maghrib)

Methodology

Observations collected by licensed professional drivers during real rides, validated by a coordinator. Variables: date, trip direction, district, maximum and minimum asking price (MAD), tout presence, wait time (min), traffic, weather events. Driver first names are anonymised (D1-D3).
